NS1102 is a Fe Ni Cr based Solid solution strengthening deformed high temperature corrosion resistant alloy. When used below 1000 ºC, NS1102 has excellent high temperature corrosion resistance and good process performance, good organizational stability, processing and welding performance, and is easy to form by cold and hot processing. It is suitable for making parts that require high temperature and long time operation under harsh corrosive medium conditions, mainly in the form of bars, plates, tubes, strips, forgings, etc.
The carbon content of NS1102 high carbon type is between 0.05 and 0.10, which is mainly used in the superheater, reheater, high temperature heating, conversion cracking furnace tube and other aspects in the chemical industry, power industry and Petrochemistry industry. It is characterized by coarse grains, high creep strength, good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. NS1102 alloy also has good corrosion resistance to HNO3, organic acids, oxidation except for halogen salts, and non oxidizing salts. Especially resistant to high-temperature corrosion and excellent resistance to carburization, the alloy exhibits intergranular corrosion when heated between 593 and 816, exhibiting good stress corrosion resistance. However, long-term aging at 650 degrees Celsius may significantly reduce the stress corrosion sensitivity of the alloy. The stress resistance in NaOH and NACL depends on the concentration and level. It has good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and can withstand stress corrosion cracking in water chlorides. It is resistant to corrosion by steam, air, and carbon dioxide mixtures, and has good corrosion resistance to organic acids such as HNO3, HCOOH, CH3COOH, and CH3CH2COOH. During use, it may cause sensitization and intergranular corrosion after heating. It can only withstand low concentrations of sulfur and HCl corrosion, and has good corrosion resistance to organic acids and flowing seawater corrosion, But in stagnant seawater, sediment can form on the surface and cause serious corrosion cracks. Application field of NS1102: It has excellent stress corrosion resistance in water containing chlorides and low concentration of NAOH. It is widely used to manufacture stress corrosion resistant equipment, replacing 18-8 austenitic steel, and in the power industry for pressure water reactor evaporators, High-temperature gas reactor, sodium cooled fast reactor heat exchangers, and superheated steam pipes. Used in the chemical industry for HNO3 coolers, acetic anhydride cracking tubes, and various heat exchange equipment.
