INCONEL 625 is an alloy with nickel chromium molybdenum as the main content. The addition of niobium and molybdenum strengthens the basic properties of this alloy, thus possessing high strength properties without the need for strengthening heat treatment.
Characteristics of INCONEL 625
1. High temperature resistance:
Due to a melting point of approximately 1300 ºC and a thermal expansion coefficient of 1.28 x 10-5 1/K (at 20 ºC), the Inconel 625 can withstand various extreme temperatures from low to extremely high.
2. Corrosion resistance:
The unique combination of its ingredients makes Inconel 625 highly resistant to Corrosive substance. This is why this super alloy performs well in high salinity seawater, and is more effective in milder environments such as fresh water and standard atmospheric conditions.
3. High level of manufacturability:
Inconel 625 is designed to have better weldability than early alloys, with no signs of cracking when exposed to strain and temperature changes after welding. Its high creep resistance and yield strength make this super alloy a good choice for pipes, pipelines, and factory equipment that require welding.
Application scope of INCONEL 625:
1. Components of organic chemical processes containing chlorides, especially when using acidic chloride catalysts.
2. Cooking and bleaching tanks used in the pulp and paper industry.
3. The absorption tower, reheater, flue gas inlet baffle, fan (wet), agitator, guide plate, and flue in the flue gas desulfurization system.
4. It is used to manufacture equipment and components used in sour gas environment.
